About DBeaver Developer Academy
Our Mission
DBeaver Developer Academy was founded by a collective of veteran database engineers, backend software architects, and data analysts. Our mission is to provide high-quality, practical, and rigorously fact-checked educational resources for developers utilizing DBeaver to build and maintain relational and analytical data systems.
While DBeaver has become the most widely adopted open-source universal database tool worldwide with over 100+ supported dialects, developers often underutilize its advanced software engineering capabilities—such as procedural debugging, visual execution plan tuning, client scripting variables, and virtual schema modeling. We created this comprehensive curriculum to bridge that knowledge gap.
Editorial Integrity & Fact-Checking Policy
Every guide, code lab, keyboard shortcut, and architectural diagram published on our platform undergoes a four-step editorial review:
- Cross-Dialect Testing: Code snippets are verified across at least three major relational database engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle).
- Version Pinning: All workflows are validated against current LTS and stable builds of DBeaver Community (v24 through v26+).
- Security Auditing: Tutorials actively advocate for DevSecOps best practices, including parameterized queries (:param), manual transaction controls on production environments, and credentials encryption.
- Periodic Maintenance: We review our content quarterly to ensure compatibility with updated DBeaver releases and database driver changes.
